Ash Magazine Table, 2016
This 32 x 32 x29” high Magazine Table was constructed using ash from a tree felled in the clients own woodlot. It was carefully air-dried for several years and then milled and planed to provide a rustic original feel to the classic arts & crafts magazine table.
And it is dense. Weighing in at over 50 lbs., the table is comprised of 43 pieces and 82 separate joints, mostly mortise & tenon joints.
It is like a puzzle at glue up time!
