I was asked to design and provide a podium to commemorate the 20th season of JoAnn Falletta, Conductor of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Using the existing podium’s overall dimensions and gathering insights form the renowned Kleinhans Music Hall, I designed a tiered, curved front podium with a streamline support bar. Jim Amo of Village Cabinetmaker, who had previously worked on other parts of the Hall and was familiar with the it’s particular maple veneer, co-engineered and built the unit.
